The Beard is finally looking like his old self again, and the Kings have hired yet another head coach. Can anyone save this franchise? I sure hope Mark Brown can. Let’s recap:
76ers Take Game Four

James Harden finally returned to his old form, dropping 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists in a Game Four victory. Joel Embiid also played a massive role in the victory, coming in with 24 points and 11 rebounds, including a 15-point first quarter. The final score of the game was 118-106, with Jimmy Butler dropped 40 points in the losing effort (17 points in the third quarter). The 76ers-Heat series is now tied at two games a piece, heading back to Miami for a crucial Game Five. Make sure to tune into that game on Tuesday @ 7:30 PM EST.
Mavs Tie Up the Series

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Phoenix Suns last night, 111-101. Luka Doncic slowed the game down once he was in the paint to capitalize on 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists, while Dorian Finney-Smith dropped 24. However, one of the biggest surprises of this game might have been Davis Bertans. In only 12 minutes of action, Bertans got hot towards the end of the first quarter, and drained four of his six three-point attempts. Spencer Dinwiddie also got hot early in the second, leading the Mavericks to a 17-point lead, their largest of the game.
Neither one of these #4 seeds is going to go down without a fight. Unfortunately for them, it looks like whoever has the home court advantage is winning the matchup.
Mike Brown to Coach Sacramento Kings

Mike Brown, a man who’s previously coached the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and is currently an assistant with the Golden State Warriors, has agreed to coach the Sacramento Kings next season. This won’t be the first time Sacramento has hired a Golden State coach; Luke Walton and Michael Malone were both hired by the team earlier in the 2000s. The Kings haven’t made the playoffs in 16 years, and Brown’s goal is simple: end that drought. At the very least, his coaching roots are deep, as he’s worked for both Gregg Poppovich and Steve Kerr. I wish him the best of luck.
Don’t forget to follow and share the NBA Blog, and as always, have an awesome day!
Well, they say three times a charm. Perhaps Mike Brown will lead the Kings to a playoff spot in the near future. I wish him the best in his new challenge.
