Everyone wants to know about their favorite team, so today I’ll be writing three sentences on every NBA team, regarding my thoughts about their upcoming season. Don’t worry; my sentences are very long, with many commas and semicolons; you can expect a lot of value for just three sentences 🙂
This is Part 1, covering the first 10 teams. Parts 2 and 3 will be coming soon, so make sure you’re following the blog so you don’t miss them when they come!
The backcourt pairing of Dejounte Murray and Trae Young really intrigues me, and I can’t wait to see them play together. Will Hawks management just hurry up and trade John Collins already if he’s not fitting well with the team? If they just stick with their current team, then I’m pinning them as a sixth seed for this season.
This is Boston’s year to win banner number 18!!!! They were so close last year in the Finals, and now with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, Al Horford, Grant Williams, and newly acquired Malcolm Brogdon, this team is ready! On a side note, I’m extremely pissed that Danillo Gallinari will miss the entire season.
The Nets are like a bad reality TV show; a lot of drama and talking that ends up with nothing actually happening. Of course, people will still tune into the show; any team that has Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons on it will be a topic of interest. Still, how funny would it be if they won the 2023 NBA Finals after all this?
I’m sorry Hornets fans, but this team had probably one of the worst off-seasons out of the entire league. Montrezl Harrell faced drug charges and ended up on the 76ers, Miles Bridges may not even play next year due to all his legal issues, and the Hornets did nothing to retool their roster around LaMelo Ball. They signed three players this offseason; Mark Williams, Bryce McGowens, and Cody Martin, only one of whom has NBA experience.
Hey Bulls fans; wasn’t it great when for 24 hours everyone thought Giannis Antetokounmpo was coming to Chicago based off a single interview? Yeah that’d be nice, but so is your current roster, with new acquisitions Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic! The only reason last year went down the hole was because of injuries to Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball; this year will be better!
Holy cow I love the Cleveland Cavaliers this year! They traded for Donovan Mitchell while only giving up Collin Sexton, Lauri Markannen, and picks, keeping their roster stable. Aside from Mitchell, they have All-Star point guard Darius Garland, All-Star center Jarrett Allen, and Rookie of the Year runner up Evan Mobley. Shoutout to Koby Altman for building this team so well; the Cavs will not only make the playoffs, but could make a deep run!
The Christian Wood trade feels like it happened so long ago, when in reality it was right before the start of free agency. While Mark Cuban’s excited about that, I bet he’s not happy he didn’t get a chance to have a meeting with Jalen Brunson before he departed to New York. No worries though; have you seen skinny Luka Doncic balling out in FIBA?
Finally, a year where Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter will all be healthy. This Denver team will be fun to watch, and we’ll get to see the team’s first healthy playoff run post bubble. Plus, Ish Smith and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were nice additions to the team.
The Detroit Pistons had a great draft, but really didn’t do much in the offseason. They got Jaden Ivey with the fifth pick and Jalen Duren with the 13th pick, who will be fun to watch alongside Cade Cunningham, Marvin Bagley, Saddiq Bey, and others. However, just because this will be a fun team doesn’t mean they’ll be good; I doubt they’ll even make the play-in in such a loaded Eastern Conference.
Golden State Warriors:
Their back with no losses this offseason! The only thing that’ll stop the dynasty of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, Jonathan Kuminga, and James Wiseman is the wallet of team owner Joe Lacob. Sneaky side note; the Warriors picked up Patrick Baldwin in the draft this year, who EVERYONE is sleeping on.
Don’t forget to follow the NBA Blog for Part 2, and as always, have an awesome day!
One thought on “3 Sentences About Every NBA Team For This Upcoming Season (Part 1)”
Good Blog, short and to the point with valid reasons supporting your comments. There is a good possibility that the NETS could win it all. Assuming or course no injuries and no drama. My strong choice behind the NETS are the Warriors. I believe they have a good opportunity to win the 2023 NBA finals. Either way, It will be a great season of Basketball.
