The finalists for the 2020 awards have been announced. There are three finalists for each award, but only 33% of them will win it. The season restart in the Orlando bubble will not affect the awards, the NBA says. The finalists are written in order of the odds they have to win it, with #1 being the best and #3 being the worst. With that said, here are the finalists for each award in 2020:
MVP Finalists:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Lebron James
- James Harden
Rookie of the Year Finalists:
- Ja Morant
- Kendrick Nunn
- Zion Williamson
Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) Finalists:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Anthony Davis
- Rudy Gobert
6th Man of the Year Finalists:
- Montrezl Harrell
- Dennis Schröder
- Lou Williams
(You kind of have to wonder: if these are the best 6th Men in the league, why aren’t they starters?)
Most Improved Player Award:
- Bam Adebayo
- Luka Dončić
- Brandon Ingram
Coach of the Year:
- Mike Budenholzer
- Billy Donovan
- Nick Nurse
