Klay Thompson, after suffering a torn ACL and torn achilles, is back on the floor after two seasons of rehab. In his return against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Thompson played 20 minutes and scored 17 points in a 96-82 for the Warriors. With his return, he also became the fastest player to reach 1,800 career threes. Not bad.

Bol Bol, one of the most beloved centers in the NBA, is being traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Detroit Pistons, in exchange for Rodney McGruder and a future second-round pick. Standing at 7’2″, Bol has a wingspan of 7’8″ and is a great shot blocker. He can shoot the three and has good court vision; he simply had the misfortune of being a backup to the best center in the NBA, Nikola Jokic. In Detroit, Bol will be able to develop his game on a timeline similar to that of the franchise.

Play of the Day:

Against the San Antonio Spurs, with the game tied at 119 and time running out, Kevin Durant had the ball in his hands. As he began to drive the lane and drew a double team, Durant found an open teammate. It wasn’t MVP James Harden, proven point guard Patty Mills, or Nic Claxton. Durant found rookie Cameron Thomas in the corner and passed the ball to him, setting him up for the final shot. Thomas delivered and put up a floater with 1.4 seconds left that gave his team a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. You can watch the play here.

  1. Love the format. All NBA fans should appreciate the quick news updates and your way of describing the events as they unfolded. Please don’t stop writing your Blog’s. I say go NETS and to the Pelicans I say get Zion back onto the court.
